Election of professor Corneliu Birsan as correspondent member of the Romanian Academy

At the beginning of the new academic year, we come back with good news, at the highest level. We are honoured to inform you that one of our colleagues, the reputed professor Corneliu BIRSAN, has been elected correspondent member of the Romanian Academy, Section of Economical Sciences, Juridical Sciences and Sociology.
Thus, on 30 June 2017, the members of the Romanian Academy have been reunited in General Assembly for electing new members. This election represents an important acknowledgement of the professional activity of our distinguished colleague, former judge at the European Court of Human Rights for a period of 14 years. Professor Corneliu BIRSAN is currently a titular professor at the University of “Nicolae Titulescu” teaching Civil Law (Real Rights and Obligations – for more details, please see http://www.univnt.ro/ro/corp_profesoral/facultatea_de_drept/birsan_corneliu.html). Our sincere felicitations and our best wishes are heading with appreciation towards Academician BIRSAN!
